When speaking of local worship in the context of the theological study of Gothic folk religion, we may understand this as ‘the local manner of worship of the Gods’ and I propose local worship should also be understood as ‘the worship of the Gods in Their local abodes’; for Gothic folk religion is characterised by both these interpretations of local worship.
